Description

The pagoda is named Phat Hoc ("Buddhology") because it used to be the main headquarters of the Southern Vietnamese Buddhist Institute in Can Tho. The pagoda was built with the purpose of providing a place for Buddhist practitioners to cultivate, and it has gone through many generations of abbots and historical periods. The Pagoda boasts grand and solemn architecture following the Mahayana Buddhist style with a 5-story tower and lush green grounds.
