Description

Built in 1894 and ecognized as a national historical heritage site in 1993, Ong Pagoda has become a popular destination for seeking tranquility and common prayers among the locals in the area. Unlike the Cham-style architecture of Munir Ansay, the entire structure of Ong Pagoda bears strong Chinese influences, with red hues dominating its walls, elaborate green-tiled roofs, dragon carvings, and intricate wall patterns radiating vibrancy. Stepping inside, the grounds are equally magnificent.

Amid the lingering scent of incense, the large skylight illuminates the temple chambers, highlighting ornate horizontal lacquered boards and ancient scripts. When visiting Ong Pagoda, in addition to the traditional check-in activities, you should consider getting a tattoo or praying for peace and well-being for your family and yourself. The sacredness of the pagoda will help transform your prayers into reality.
