Description

After exploring the pagodas with a distinct Chinese or Cham-pa architectural influence, return to the Phuong Nam Truc Lam Zen Monastery. This site, commenced in 2013, is the largest-scale Zen monastery in the Western region. Despite being newly constructed, the Phuong Nam Truc Lam Zen Monastery still exudes ancient charm.
This monastery embodies the architectural style of the Ly and Tran dynasties, showcasing the Vietnamese essence through its building materials: Chinese bricks, Du Sam wood, gray stone blocks, etc. The ornamentation follows traditional motifs, featuring the wheel of dharma, characteristic curved roofs, and vibrant red hues. The most sought-after check-in areas in the Phuong Nam Truc Lam Zen Monastery include the main hall, the triple gate, the rear gate, and the spacious lotus pond with a serene pavilion.
