Description
Located about 39 kilometers from the city, the Mat Than mountain is part of the Thang Hen complex within the Cao Bang Geological Park. In the Tay language, the mountain is called Phja Piot, meaning a mountain with a hole in it. Surrounding the mountain is a vast valley with stretches of green grass, providing a pristine, peaceful, and tranquil scenery with leisurely grazing herds of horses. On the way to the mountain, travelers will pass through the Mã Ph?c pass, a beautiful scenic spot when traveling by motorbike.
This impressive landscape is formed due to an interesting movement during the New Tectonic period. This movement has created numerous limestone peaks interspersed with dozens of small and large water lakes. From there, the vibrant tourism picture of the Mat Than Mountain and Thang Hen complex is also formed.
