Description

Thang Hen Lake is located within the Non Nuoc Global Geopark in Cao Bang, about 20km from Cao Bang city.
Thang Hen Lake attracts visitors with its mystical and picturesque beauty, resembling a fairyland amidst the mountains and forests.
It is a natural freshwater lake located on a high mountain. Surrounding the lake is a system of ancient forests growing on limestone mountains, creating a majestic and poetic scenery.
Throughout the year, the water of the lake always has a emerald green color, resembling a giant mirror reflecting the surrounding landscapes of mountains, land, and sky. Therefore, this place is also known as the "emerald island" perched on the high mountains of Cao Bang province.
Thang Hen is the largest lake in the Tra Linh Complex which consists of 36 natural freshwater lakes with unique names such as Thang Hoi, Thang Vat, Na Ma, Thang Loong... Each lake has its own separate cliffs, ranging from tens of meters to several hundred meters apart, all connected through underground caves in the limestone mountains.
